Massage therapy is part of the Welch Cancer Center’s holistic approach to health care. Patients may receive a weekly massage to decrease the stress of cancer and its treatment. Massage therapy promotes a sense of well-being; physically, mentally, and emotionally. Beth Schlenker, RN, NCMT provides massage therapy to patients at the Welch Cancer Center. Beth attained her Degree of Nursing from the Rapid City School of Nursing, her Bachelor of Science Nursing from the University of Wyoming, and her Massage Therapist Degree from the Boulder School of Massage Therapy. In addition to her nursing and massage education, she has completed additional training in massage specifically for cancer patients and guided imagery. She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Massage Therapists, and she is nationally certified in massage therapy and body work. |
