WORKER/CASE MANAGER
When patients enter cancer therapy, a Case
Manager meets with them and acts as their advocate, assessing their daily living
activities, reviewing their finances, employment, housing and transportation
issues. The Case Manager talks with patients about their support system, their
family and friends and how they can help the patients through this difficult
time. A plan is put together for each patient, linking them with community
agencies that may be able to help them.
Andi Bell is the Social
Worker for the Welch Cancer Center. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
as well as a Bachelor’s in Science Degree in Psychology, she went to school at
Montana State University in Billings.
